About the Directors/Musicians

Gina Jorgenson, Director of Music Ministry, Piano and Organ

Gina is no stranger to church music, as one of her first memories is singing in the front of St. Mary of the Nativity Catholic Church in Marshall, WI with her parents, aunts, and grandmother.  Gina has directed choirs, accompanied choirs, or played music for services for the following churches: Our Savior's Lutheran Church (Sun Prairie), Bethel Lutheran Church (Madison), Sacred Hearts Church (Sun Prairie), Deerfield Lutheran (Deerfield), Roncalli Newmann Center (La Crosse), St. Mary's (Marshall), St. Joseph's (Waterloo), St. Pius X (Cambridge), St. Olaf (Deforest), Sun Prairie United Methodist Church (Sun Prairie), and many funerals and weddings all over the state of Wisconsin. 

Gina was a 5-year member of the Kids from Wisconsin.  She received a Bachelor Degree from UW-La Crosse in Choral and General Music Education.  In college, she accompanied and sang in the top collegiate choir - which included a tour of England and Scotland.  She also sang with her college's top jazz band during a tour of Germany and France.

She is currently teaching half-time at Marshall High School where she teaches 3 choirs and one section of 6th Grade General Music.  She previously taught at Sacred Hearts School for 5 years, Prairie Music Academy for 6 years (where she was also Program Director), and Cashton Public Schools for 2 years.  She has choreographed many area show choirs and theater productions including Cambridge High School Show Choir,  Sun Prairie Civic Theatre, Deerfield High School Show Choir and Musicals, and Waunakee High School Show Choir.  her production of Mamma Mia! at Marshall High School was nominated for 12 Jerry Awards  including Best Directing and Best Choreography. She lives in Sun Prairie with her husband, Matt, and kids, Melanie, Daniel and Charlotte.  She would like to thank Pastor Tim and Cyndi Voeck for the opportunity to lead music at Bristol Lutheran.  "Everyone has been so welcoming to me - I feel at home!"
